Operating in Hong Kong for over 40 years, property developer Tai Hung Fai Group has diversified its business from property investments to property development and management.
Tai Hung Fai’s extensive property portfolio in Hong Kong includes hotels, serviced apartments, commercial, industrial and residential buildings, shopping complexes, retail shops and car parks. The Group has more than 1,000 tenants, spanning across different industries such as retail, food and beverage, medical, entertainment, industrial and commercial companies. Apart from managing its properties, the Group also outsources to some hotel management companies.

Minimize Human Intervention
With automation in place, manual intervention has greatly been minimized. FlexSystem Human Resources Management System is a good example. It enhances workflow management and accelerates HR operations. By logging in the Employee Self Service portal, staff members could perform a wide range of functions at their fingertips including submitting leave requests and checking balance, viewing payslips and tax forms.
“It replaced our previous practice of printing and manually distributing payslips and other forms by HR staff, reducing human intervention while improving efficiency,” said Leung.
Apart from HR matters, Tai Hung Fai also has to handle a lot of tenant billing data and accounts payable with various suppliers and vendors. FlexSystem Financial Management System modernizes its accounting and billing operations.
“We have a consolidated view of all receivable and payable accounts such as viewing invoices and payment history. Management reports can be customized for monitoring and analysis. As a result, we have a better control over our cash flow, job costing and budget planning,” he said.

FlexSystem Property Management System helps Tai Hung Fai to manage tenants and properties easily including rent collections, lease accounting contract management and portfolio management. The Group can keep track of the profitability of its diverse property operations and make a more accurate forecast of its financial performance.
“FlexSystem Property Management System supports us in forecasting rental income in the coming one to two years. It facilitates us to make better business plan with financial reference data on investment trends and rental adjustments,” said Leung.
